Tissue Clearing
Classical plant tissue clearing method.

Procedure
- Dissolve chloral hydrate with ddH2O in a glass vial by gently stirring at room temperature.
- Generally it will be fully dissolved within 30 mins;
- To speed up dissolution, heat to no more than 37°C;

Add 1 mL glycerol and mix well after the chlorol hydrate was fully dissolved.

Store this clearing solution at room temperature, protected from light.
- The resulting product is a viscous, syrup-like liquid.
- Immerse the sample in this clearing solution and leave it at room temperature until the tissue becomes transparent.
- The clearing process may takes from several hours to overnight, depend on the sample type.
